The demolishment on 4-story residence is on going.
     
In over 8000 collapsed houses, some affect transportation, some have danger threat or influence the city's environment and appearance, they shall be dismantled and cleaned as soon as possible.

Regarding the collapsed and dangerous houses dismantling issue, we perform by the following methods:

1. Self-demolishment: According the rule 78-3 of Construction Law, it is no need to apply for demolishment license. The building owner can do it by himself and then report to the local construction institution.
2. Demolish with force: According the rule No. 81 of Construction Law, the construction institution informs the owner and possessor to stop using and order to dismantle in limited time. If any objection, the owner or possessor should apply for deferment in 5 days after being informed and authorize architect and professional engineer to transact the estimation certificate. The

 

deferment cannot be over one month. If it goes over thetime limited, the building shall be dismantled by force.If the institution fails to get in contact with the owner, it can be done with an announcement. According to rule No.82 of Construction Law, the institution can dismantle with force in case the building causes danger due to earthquake and the institution is unable to inform the owner or possessor in time.

The demolishment methods are as follows. We cooperate with Executive Yuan, Public Construction Committee to design and transact demolishment bidding as follows:

¡½1st stage: Total 27 biddings
¡½2nd stage: Total 7 biddings
¡½3rd stage: Total 5 biddings
¡½4th stage: total 11 biddings

The total announced bottom price is 410 million dollars. Decided bidding price is 220 million dollars.
